Welcome! As Seniors Secretary, and a long standing member of the Golf Club, it gives me a great deal of satisfaction to welcome you to the Senior Section of the Werneth Low Golf Club Web-site.

As you may or may not know, we have a very active Senior's Section within the Club, such that we meet every Thursday when we hold a weekly Competition.

We play over a shortened course of 12 holes and the Competitions vary from week to week, Medals, Stablefords, Bisque Bogey, Pairs, Texas Scrambles etc and includes a Two's comp.

There are 5 major Trophies, Singles Knock out, Winter and Summer Leagues and a mixed pairs comp with the Ladies, together with two annual matches against the Ladies and Juniors. We have a Wayfarers Day out, A.G.M. Dinner, Potato Pie in October and a Xmas Dinner.

The section is extremely friendly and as a visitor you will be made most welcome, should you decide to come along and join us. We have our own handicap system for visitors such that you will be given 2/3rds – 3 of your Club Handicap, adjusted appropriately thereafter.

Just turn up any Thursday at 12 noon (11.30 Dec & Jan) sign in, in the Clubhouse and pay your entry fee, a mere £1.50. Why not give it a go, you don't have to come every week and the fresh air's free. We only charge for the 'Banter'!!
